A learner portfolio keeps meaningful documents and images together, while the Portfolio Builder turns a chosen set into an organized family record.

Add and describe work

  1. Open Records, then Portfolios.

Choose the learner whose work you want to manage.

  2. Choose Add work.

Add a PDF, DOCX, JPG, PNG, or WebP file up to 25 MB. Each learner can keep up to 1 GB of portfolio files, with a total limit of 5 GB for the family.

  3. Add useful context.

Enter a title and, when helpful, a completion date, school year, subject, course, description or reflection, and parent note. Mark especially useful samples as Featured work.

  4. Save the entry.

The original is available as soon as its private upload is ready. Images and DOCX files may also show that a preview copy is being prepared.

Find, preview, and arrange work

The portfolio shows both the learner's storage use and the family's total storage use. Use Search or filter the collection by school year, subject, course, or Featured only. PDFs and supported images can be previewed immediately. DOCX preview becomes available after its PDF copy is prepared. You may leave the page while preparation continues.

If preparation fails, choose Retry. You can still edit the entry, download the unchanged original, arrange the portfolio, or create a standard ZIP while the preview copy is pending or unavailable.

Choose Edit to update an entry without replacing its original file. Choose Arrange to save the order used when browsing the collection. Deleting an entry permanently removes that work sample and its prepared preview from the portfolio.

Build a portfolio download

  1. Choose Build portfolio.

Add a title and optionally focus the index on one school year.

  2. Choose the work samples.

Select only the entries you want. Featured work can help you identify strong samples.

  3. Set the page order.

Move selected entries up or down. The PDF index always comes first.

  4. Choose what the index includes.

Descriptions are included by default. Parent notes are optional and stay out unless you select them.

  5. Preview the index.

Review the learner, homeschool, school year, order, dates, subjects, and courses before downloading.

  6. Download the ZIP.

By default, the ZIP contains the PDF index and each original file unchanged. This remains available even when a selected preview copy is still being prepared.

A valid license is required to view, add, edit, preview, build, download, or remove portfolio work. If the license expires or is revoked, use the free family export to download existing portfolio files in a ZIP, or activate a new valid key to restore Portfolio access.
