  2. Add a learner access link
  3. Reset a course schedule
  4. Reset learner progress and restart a course
  5. Reset every lesson

Small corrections, removing dates, restarting a learner, and rebuilding the outline are deliberately separate actions. The three reset choices are grouped in the Danger Zone at the bottom of Edit Course.

Correct one lesson

On Planner, select the lesson card, then choose the edit icon. Change that lesson’s label or name. Its scheduled date and learner progress do not change.

In the same lesson editor, optionally choose Video, Game, Lesson, Reading, Worksheet, Quiz, Reference, or Resource and enter the complete HTTP or HTTPS URL. The learner’s Today card will show a matching button such as Access Video and open the resource in a new browser tab. Clear the URL to remove the button. The link is shared by every learner enrolled in that course, while each learner’s progress remains separate.

Leave Apply to all lessons unchecked to change only this lesson, which allows each lesson to use a different link. Select it to apply the same resource type and URL to every lesson in this course, from first to last. To remove links in bulk, clear the URL and leave Apply to all lessons selected when you save. These bulk changes also update lessons already completed in the past as a retroactive correction without changing their dates, completion, or other learner progress. Its tooltip reads “Applies URL to all lessons in course.”

Reset a course schedule

  1. Open Edit Course.

Reset schedule appears when at least one learner has dated lessons.

  2. Choose Reset schedule.

If the course is shared, select the learner whose lessons should become unscheduled.

  3. Review and confirm.

Continue, type the course name exactly, then choose Unschedule all lessons.

Only that learner’s lesson dates are removed. The course outline, lesson content, progress, reviews, and grades stay in place, and another learner’s schedule is not changed. You can then schedule the learner’s unfinished lessons again.

Reset learner progress and restart a course

Choose Reset learner progress, select the learner, review the full impact, and type the course name exactly. This returns all of that learner’s lessons to Planned and removes the learner’s course dates, completion and in-progress statuses, submissions, review notes and history, lesson and final grades, report-card course entries, and transcript course entry. The course and lesson outline, enrollment, portfolio files, manual attendance, and all other learners are kept. Automatic attendance based on completed work may decrease.

Reset every lesson

  1. Open Edit Course.

The reset section appears only after lessons exist.

  2. Choose Reset course lessons.

Review the full impact. The course outline, scheduled lessons, learner progress, reviews, and lesson grades for this course will be removed.

  3. Continue and type the course name.

The second confirmation prevents accidental removal.

  4. Remove all lessons.

The course itself remains so you can build or import a new outline.
