Set up your homeschool calendar

Choose the school-year format, regular learning days, breaks, and holiday visibility.

Your homeschool calendar tells Tasked With which dates can receive lessons and which dates should be skipped when a schedule moves.

  1. Open More, then School Year Setup.

Confirm the family time zone and whether weeks begin on Sunday or Monday.

  2. Create the current school year.

Choose Academic for an August–July year or Calendar for year-round January–December planning. Confirm the actual start and end dates.

  3. Select regular learning days.

Most families select Monday through Friday, but you can choose any combination.

Review the school year and regular learning days before adding exceptions.
  4. Add known breaks.

Add vacations, planned breaks, family holidays, or a known learning day that falls on a normally off day. When a new break contains saved lessons, choose the affected learners, preview every proposed date, or keep their lessons on the current dates. See Add a planned break and review lesson shifts for the complete walkthrough.

  5. Review U.S. holidays.

Each holiday can be shown or hidden. Select a holiday row to prefill it as a planned break, then review and add the date.
