The weekly planner combines school work and family context while keeping lesson cards visually primary.
Choose the weekly layout
The primary adult can open Your profile, find Planner Type, and choose Calendar or Teacher. Calendar is the default. It can show everyone at once with days as the main columns. Teacher shows one learner at a time and places subjects down the left. Include Sat/Sun is checked by default and follows the family’s saved Sunday-first or Monday-first week order; uncheck it to show Monday through Friday only. Show lesson checkboxes is enabled by default and can be turned off for a cleaner card-only view. Subject Labels can be Vertical (the default) or Horizontal. Choose another learner from the upper-right learner buttons. The current day keeps the theme-colored date and column outline.
Navigate and filter
Use the Previous Week, Today, and Next Week buttons to move through the schedule. In Calendar, filter by Everyone or a learner, by available subject, and by status. School shows lessons plus school routines and activities. Family shows family routines, family activities, and Daily Notes; subject and lesson-status filters are disabled because they do not apply. Combined shows both. The item count and learning-time total always recalculate from what is visible. A saved break appears with its description; any lesson intentionally kept on that date remains visible.
Read the Teacher Planner
Each visible subject name follows the Vertical or Horizontal profile setting and may wrap to keep the day columns roomy. Subject rows follow the selected learner’s saved Course Order. When more than one course shares a subject, its cards follow that same course order within the row. The row stacks that learner’s scheduled lessons beneath the correct day. A lesson card shows the grade-aware course name, the curriculum provider when one is saved, and then the lesson name or number. When lesson checkboxes are shown, check an eligible lesson to mark it Completed; uncheck a completed lesson to reopen it. Lessons waiting for review or marked Skipped remain governed by their normal status workflow. A subject row appears only when it contains a card in the displayed week. Routines and Activities use their own rows under the subjects and are also hidden when empty; Daily Notes appears only when the week contains a note. Choose Add in the page header to create the same Routine, Activity, or Daily Note available from Calendar; a new Routine or Activity starts assigned to the learner currently in view.
Schedule an empty week
If a current or future instructional week has no lessons and a course still has unscheduled work, use Calendar and choose Schedule Lessons above the planner. Select the learner first, then choose one of that learner’s courses. Tasked With opens a week-scoped preview starting with the first available date in the week. Nothing is added until you review and confirm it.
Use cards
Select a lesson, routine, or activity card to highlight it without opening another control. Use the card’s three-dot button, or right-click it, to open the available edit, move, skip, completion, supplement, or removal actions. For an unfinished lesson, the primary adult can choose Needs Review immediately before Complete Lesson; this moves the lesson to Ready for review so it appears in the normal review workflow. A flexible lesson can also be dragged to another day from today onward in either layout. In Teacher, only valid dates in that lesson’s own subject row highlight as drop targets. Dropping opens the same move review, with the same course-shift, collision, school-year, past-date, protected-work, and completion safeguards. Select a Daily Note to edit it directly. Course colors always appear as full-strength dots, while learner colors outline lessons. When Shade lesson cards is enabled in the primary adult’s profile, the course color also appears as a gentle fill across Today, Calendar, Teacher, Month, and Status Board lesson entries; turn it off for unshaded lesson cards without losing the dots.
The left navigation can remain collapsed or expanded as you move through the application.
