Today opens with a greeting based on the family time zone and shows only what matters for the current date. Each adult can turn off Show daily greeting from their profile to feature the current day and date as the large heading instead.
What appears
- The primary adult’s undated To-dos organized under their name or an active learner’s name
- Every lesson, school routine, and school activity scheduled for today
- A Needs attention list containing every lesson marked Needs Help anywhere in the current week
- Work waiting for primary-adult review
- Family-category routines and activities scheduled for the current day in Family Rhythm
The temporary Today’s Plan message counts unfinished lessons separately from school routines and activities, which it calls learning activities. When both are present, both totals appear. The message fades away after about 30 seconds so the plan remains the focus.
Today’s Learning starts with All selected. Choose a learner avatar to show only that learner’s lessons and assigned school learning activities, then choose All to restore the complete school-day list.
Organize To-dos
Choose the + in To-dos to add a reminder. Assign it to yourself or use a learner’s name as an organizational label. These labels do not send work to the learner, and no To-do appears in Student Mode. To-dos have no date and remain on Today. Check one to show it as completed with muted strikethrough styling, then uncheck it whenever it needs to be reopened. Drag cards to save a custom order. Right-click a card, or use its three-dot button on touch and keyboard devices, for Move Up, Move Down, Edit, and Remove.
Choose View All To-dos at the bottom of the card for the full list. Search by To-do or name, then filter by All, You, or an individual learner. The full page keeps the same completion, editing, removal, context-menu, and drag-ordering controls. Choose Remove Completed to review a confirmation before permanently removing every checked To-do; open To-dos stay in place.
On a larger screen, To-dos, Needs attention, and Family Rhythm share the right column equally. Each panel scrolls independently when it has more content than fits. All three remain visible with a short empty message when nothing currently belongs there. On a phone, the order becomes To-dos, Needs attention, today’s school items, then today’s Family Rhythm, and the page uses normal scrolling.
A learner can choose I need help from Student Mode and resume the lesson after receiving help. The primary adult can change lesson status, complete or reopen eligible lessons, and respond to learner review requests. A school-category routine or activity with learning time receives its own simple completion checkbox; this does not add lesson statuses to that item. The additional adult sees the saved completion state without progress controls and does not see the primary adult’s To-dos.
Review and grade submitted work
Ready-for-review cards use the same Revise, Redo, or Needs Grading chip shown on the planners whenever a review sub-status is present. Choose Enter grade on a Needs Grading card for a compact editor that follows the course’s grading method. Weighted courses also require the course category. Add optional feedback and save to place the result in Gradebook immediately; the chip clears, but the lesson remains ready for your final approval. If the course is still ungraded, use Set up grading first.
