Courses hold curriculum and lessons. Subjects are broad labels such as Mathematics or Science that make filtering easier.

Create a course

  1. Open Courses.

Select a learner or keep All Learners selected.

  2. Choose Add Course.

Enter the base course name and, optionally, its Curriculum Provider / Publisher. The grade-level option starts selected and uses each assigned learner’s saved grade automatically, so Language Arts can appear as 5th Grade Language Arts.

  3. Finish the setup.

Select an existing subject or add a custom subject, optionally choose a primary or pastel color, and choose one or more learners.

  4. Save the course.

A shared course appears in each selected learner’s column while keeping progress separate for each learner. A shared detail page keeps the base name when the learners have different grade levels.

The subject and curriculum provider appear below the course name and on course details, but provider information is omitted from Planner and Calendar. Course color supplies a gentle 30% lesson fill and a full-strength course dot. The assigned learner's profile color remains the lesson outline. No color is the default.

Find and arrange courses

Use learner, subject, and search filters together. Search also matches the curriculum provider. Subject choices show only subjects used by courses in the current family.

  1. Choose a Learner Display Order.

The default is Grade Level: High to Low. You can instead choose Grade Level: Low to High, Learner Name: A–Z, or Learner Name: Z–A. The primary adult’s selection is remembered and also controls learner dropdowns, avatar filters, and the Student Mode learner chooser throughout the app. Learners without a saved grade remain visible after graded learners.

  2. Arrange courses within a learner.

When a learner has more than one course, drag the course cards directly into the preferred top-to-bottom order or use each card’s up and down buttons for keyboard access. With All Learners selected, each visible learner column saves independently. Filter to one learner to focus on only that column. Every change saves automatically, and a brief confirmation names the learner whose order was saved. Lessons follow that course order when several appear on the same day.

Delete a course for one learner

Use the trash button on that learner’s course card. The first confirmation explains that the learner’s lessons, scheduled items, progress, reviews, gradebook work, report-card entries, transcript entries, and related course data will be permanently deleted. Continue to the second confirmation and type the displayed course name exactly before choosing Delete. If the course is shared, Tasked With removes only the selected learner’s instance and keeps every other learner’s course and data. Removing the course’s final learner deletes the course itself.

Each learner’s course card shows the automatic grade-level name, subject, provider, and gentle course fill.
